Biography:

Born: 28 February 1972 Townsville, Queensland.

Experience: Completing an apprenticeship as a Boilermaker at the Copper Refineries (MIM) in Townsville, Michael has worked in various Trades and Supervisory roles throughout the Construction, Mining, Refining and Manufacturing Industries around Australia. After spending ten years as a tradesman working for various organisations, he accepted the opportunity and progressed into senior management.

Professional Life:

Michael has been involved in Senior Management for the past fifteen years, his recent appointments include Chief Executive Officer for a national organisation delivering maintenance, labour and project management solutions to various industry streams and State Operations Manager for a global OEM managing the manufacture and overhaul of underground and surface mining equipment.

Michael feels he has been fortunate in the opportunities that have presented themselves and has enjoyed the challenges involved in founding new sporting clubs for Indigenous youth and being involved with Mackay Advocacy in support of disabled rights and welfare.
